All Stryker Hip Implant Lawsuits are moving forward into consolidated litigations at both the Federal level and the State level.
According to court records, there are at least 161 Stryker hip implant lawsuits filed and pending in Bergen County Superior Court in New Jersey after Stryker announced in July of 2013 that the Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II hip stem systems would be recalled. These 161 Stryker hip lawsuits have been consolidated.
In the Federal multidistrict litigation in the U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota, there are 159 pending Stryker Hip Implant Lawsuits. The Judge overseeing these federal cases (In Re: Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2441) has chosen an interim counsel to work on behalf of the Plaintiffs at least or until the Court conducts its first Status Conference. The Status Conference is expected to take place sometime in August.
Each of the pending Stryker Rejuvenate lawsuits in State and Federal courts allege that the Plaintiffs have suffered personal injuries due to the Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II hip stems. Among the serious complications Plaintiffs allege in their Complaints, include necrosis, osteolysis, and metallosis.
