The sister of a teenage driver involved in a deadly car collision blames texting for her sister’s untimely and tragic death.
According to Channel 2, Georgia State Troopers said that a 16 year old died recently when her car hit another car, resulting in the death of that driver as well.
Taylor McKee’s sister said this crash should serve as a warning for others. McKee’s sister shared that McKee may have been distracted by texting before running a red light at Bullsboro Road and Interstate 85 Friday night in Coweta County. McKee’s car slammed into Linda Leflore’s vehicle.
In addition to McKee, also present in McKee’s car were two teen passengers who were taken to the hospital immediately following the collision.
According to the State Troopers, no one in either car was wearing a seat belt.
Texting while driving, illegal in many states has been banned because of the safety concerns associated with the distractions that texting brings.
