Schlueter was requested by the United States House of Representatives to testify about the dangers of foreign products and the need for reform in how such products are allowed into the United States. The topic of the testimony was: “Protecting Americans from Unsafe Foreign Products Act” As denoted in the attached statement presented to the Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law, firm partner Richard Schlueter discussed how many foreign products are allowed into the United States everyday with little to no safeguards in place and how one defective scooter manufactured by a foreign defendant forever changed the life of a Georgia family that our firm represented in a multi-million dollar products liability lawsuit.
