Carol Smithson

Carol Smithson is a litigation paralegal with our firm who is responsible for the single events team. Prior to joining our firm, she was a litigation paralegal with a focus on personal injury, premises liability and corporate litigation. In 2016, Carol received her Paralegal Certificate from the University of Georgia’s off-campus Lawrenceville, Georgia location and has found a new passion through the legal field of helping others. She is a Notary Public and active member of the Georgia Association of Paralegals, Inc. (GAP).

 Prior to living in Georgia, she was raised just outside of Detroit, Michigan and spent a decade as a corporate automotive buyer in the manufacturing industry. While in Michigan, she enjoyed year-round activities in the outdoors and on the Great Lakes. Upon moving to Georgia, she took a break from her career to focus on raising her two, now young adults, son and daughter.

Outside of the office, Carol is an avid runner completing numerous half marathons. She loves nature, strength training, yoga, cooking, and time with family and friends. She also enjoys live music and listening to podcasts, with a focus on science through the Huberman Lab.
