Two deadly car wrecks occurred within 13 hours of each other earlier this month.
The first car wreck was reported by a motorist around 6:30 a.m., according the Forsythnews. The motorist reported a Honda Accord left Pendley Road and struck a tree.
Frank Huggins, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Capt., said the car was still in flames when emergency personnel arrived at scene. The driver of the Accord was dead upon arrival of emergency personnel.
The 1991 Honda Accord and the man’s body have been submitted to the Georgia Bureau of investigation (GBI) crime lab. GBI will have to investigate this in order to determine the identity of the man involved in the single-car wreck. The death of the man could have been caused either by the impact of the tree or from the blazing fire, according to Forsyth County Fire Capt. Jason Shivers.
The man who tragically died in the second wreck from the same day has now been identified. Roger Lee Adams, 60 years old and from Lakeside Trail, was riding his Harley Davidson Ultra Classic when he collided with a sport utility vehicle. The collision occurred on Bald Ridge Road at Lanier 400 Parkway, according to Forsythnews. This car accident occurred around 5 p.m.
Adams was taken to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell after suffering severe injuries. He died at the hospital the same day. According to Huggins, the sport utility vehicle was a 2001 GMC Yukon driven by 21 year old Diego Castanedo of Canton. Huggins said that it was the Yukon that apparently pulled into the path and the motorcycle struck the door of the Yukon. Huggins says that it will likely be Castaneda who will be charged in connection with this fatal motorcycle accident.
