Ashley is a trial attorney who brings nearly a decade of experience handling all aspects of litigation to her clients. Born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, Ashley graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi and obtained her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. After graduating from law school, Ashley started her career with a National civil litigation defense firm where she was one of the youngest lawyers to be elected partner. During this time, Ashley successfully litigated and tried cases in defense of nurses, doctors, medical practices, product manufacturers and other Fortune 500 companies. She also has extensive experience handling premises liability, negligent security, automobile, and trucking accidents at the state and federal level.
At Childers, Schlueter & Smith, Ashley uses her skill, experience, and insight to represent people who have been seriously injured and families who have lost a loved one through the fault of others. She handles a wide array of medical malpractice and product liability claims, including the representation of individuals who have suffered from Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) – horrific allergic reactions that cause the person’s skin to slough off, and that can lead to blindness, permanent disability, or death. Ashley handles negligent security cases on behalf of victims who have been attacked due to a property owner’s failure to keep the premises safe and secure from crime, as well as cases arising from catastrophic accidents caused by reckless trucking companies and the negligent operation of commercial vehicles.
Ashley and her husband, Harrison, live in Buckhead with their son and Gordon Setter, Remi. They are active members of The Cathedral of St. Philip. Ashley is also dedicated to her work with AtlasStrong, a charity focused upon palliative care at Children Healthcare of Atlanta’s Center of Advanced Pediatrics. In addition to spending time with family, Ashley is an avid Kentucky basketball fan and enjoys cooking, skiing, horseback riding and live music.
