Each year, thousands of children in Atlanta start out the new school year without having the necessary materials to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond.

To do our part in helping prepare local children for the new school year, Childers, Schlueter & Smith, LLC, is working with the Brookhaven Boys & Girls Club to provide support and assistance to children in the community by donating school supplies and volunteering time to the Club as part of a nationwide community outreach event — known as the Injury Board Day of Action (#IBDayofAction).

On July 22, 2016, attorneys and staff from Childers, Schlueter & Smith, LLC, visited the Brookhaven Boys & Girls Club to deliver school supplies that children at the Club are in need of most for the new school year. During the visit, the team also participated in an onsite service project.

“As a firm, we are dedicated to giving back to the local community and helping those in need of assistance,” says Richard R. Schlueter. “We are truly honored to be a part of this nationwide day of action to help support and improve the well-being of children and families during difficult times.”

The IB Day of Action is a nationwide, collaborative effort to bring together more than 100 plaintiffs’ lawyer firms from across the U.S. — all working for the same cause on the same day.

“We are passionate about helping Injury Board members give back to their communities; it’s part of the DNA of our organization,” says Tom Young, attorney-at-law and co-founder of The Injury Board. “We are extremely proud to bring our members together for this day of action. To make even the smallest difference is better than making no difference at all.”
