On May 26, 2022, Andy Childers was appointed interim Co-Lead Counsel in MDL 3026 (In Re: Abbott Laboratories, Et Al,. Preterm Infant Nutrition Product Liability Litigation). The highest honor and position allowed in the nationwide fight against cow’s milk based preterm infant formula and fortifiers linked to necrotizing entercolitis (NEC). MDL 3026 is assigned to Chief Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer of the Northern District of Illinois Federal District Court.
As the head member of the Childers, Schlueter & Smith Preterm Baby Formula Team, Andy is fighting to protect premature infants from developing Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC) now linked to Abbott Laboratories and Mead Johnson’s cows milk-based preterm formulas and fortifiers. Andy will be working with a stellar team of 25 other Court-appointed lawyers from around the country in this regard.
