Twenty-Five Year Old Driver Charged with DUI After Hitting Day Car Bus

In Douglasville, Georgia, a 25 year old has been charged in a crash with a day car bus that occurred July 6, Wednesday afternoon.

According to Channel 2 WSBTV News, the driver of a Jeep Cherokee told police he was heading to see a doctor during the crash.  The vehicle crash occurred on Chapel Hill Road.

A student in the bus told Channel 2, “It was very scary.”  Srg. Brad Loudermilk from the Douglasville police said, “He

shouldn’t have been behind the wheel.”

There were 10 kids on the bus at the time of the crash.  Loudermilk said that most of the children were taken to the hospital to be checked out for precautionary measures.  The bus driver was taken to the hospital because of leg injuries the driver sustained as a result of this vehicle crash.

The driver of the jeep was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and charges are pending.
